Auto Accident Attorneys in Arlington Heights, Illinois

Dedicated Personal Injury and Accident Lawyers Serving Cook, Lake, DuPage, Kane, and Will Counties and Federal Courts

Hundreds of people are killed each year—and thousands injured—from auto accidents in Illinois. Many of these accidents result in absolutely debilitating injuries. Some negligent acts causing these accidents include: distracted and/or fatigued driving, drunk driving, using the cell phone, texting or instant messaging, putting on makeup or polishing nails. Under certain circumstances, a local government’s construction creates a hazard for drivers. Also, if traffic control devices are down or not working and the city or village knows, and there is enough time to fix it, liability may attach.

With over 50 years combined experience, the Law Office of Martin L. Glink, provides personalized, high quality legal representation to aggressively protect the rights of our clients who are injured in motor vehicle accidents.  This includes recovering verdicts and settlements for those in Cook, Lake, DuPage, Kane, and Will Counties.

Types of Accidents & Injuries

Motor vehicle accident can cover a variety of vehicles and circumstances, including but not limited to:

  • Trucking accidents;
  • Car accidents;
  • Motorcycle accidents;
  • Pedestrian accidents;
  • Train and bus accidents; and
  • Vehicle-bicycle accidents;

Each incident is highly dependent upon the specific factors involved—who was at fault,  were they following the law at the time of the accident, your own conduct, your injuries, your preexisting conditions, etc. Incidents that involve large trucks and tractor-trailers with smaller vehicles can cause especially severe injuries, high medical costs, and wage loss. In addition, accidents involving pedestrians and bicyclists, are typically more severe and can often be fatal. This includes head and/or traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, fractures, and sometimes even wrongful death. Visit our personal injury and wrongful death pages to find out more about injury-related claims and compensation.

Illinois Law

Illinois requires drivers to carry liability insurance to address any bodily injury and/or property damage caused. In addition, you must also have uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage to cover yourself and your passengers in case the responsible party does not have liability coverage, or adequate coverage.  It is suggested that you raise your uninsured and underinsured limits to the level of coverage you have for bodily injury. This may not cost a lot more than the lower limits. Check with your insurance agent.
